Fall 2013

It is officially fall in NYC. Cory and I went on a lot of adventures this weekend, the Cloisters Museum today which is 45 minutes up north by Fort Tryon. The Cloisters is a Gothic museum with everything being solely medieval/Gothic, including the gardens. They had the famous Unicorn tapestries I love as well as some amazing art.

We also went to central park on Saturday to take pictures by the old bridge and the leaves that are a-changing.

We were also able to go to Pickle Day which was.....interesting.

Pickle Day on the Lower East Side is Cory's Christmas Day.

So Far Stuff Has Happened

Work has been keeping me super busy, my promotion is finally reflecting in my paycheck starting in November with a new base/commission structure.

A lot has happened and out of laziness, I'll let the photos tell the stories.

Spoiler alert 'Hurty Time' = PMS

Me and Fifi show off our mutual age and favorite graphic novels (kids books)

The Last Unicorn

I always ask Cory to sketch via Snapchat, sometimes i can grab a photo

Cory and I on break at work (break room has a guitar for all employees to use). Notice the new world trade center in back

Zocdoc gave Cory and I free tickets to an off Broadway play 'Becoming Dr.Ruth' with the actress Debra Jo Rupp, (the mom from that 70's show). It was amazing and inspiring. From the website, "From fleeing the Nazis in the Kindertransport and joining the Haganah in Jerusalem as a scout and sniper, to her struggles to succeed as a single mother coming to America, Becoming Dr. Ruth is filled with the humor, honesty and life-affirming spirit of Karola Ruth Siegel, the girl who became “Dr. Ruth”, AmericaŹ¼s most famous sex therapist."  http://www.becomingdoctorruth.com/

Went out to dinner with Angela and her new boyfriend. She had two sips of a drink and was wasted. Luckily I was not and took lots of photos to show her later.

Joined the Zocdoc volunteer club so we had our first activity on New York Cares Day. We went to an Elementary school and our assignment was to paint the entire fence after brushing off the old paint/dirt. We had to paint both sides from front to back and it took about 4 1/2 hours. The entire fence wrapped around the school in a not so affluent area, so lots of people stopped to say something either encouraging or frightening.

Bollywood/Diwali Festival

As a lover of all things beautiful, I am of course obsessed with Bollywood/Indian style (and Bollywood movies, just ask Cory). How could anyone not be with those colors, fabrics and sparkly things! I mean even miss america is Indian, everyone else needs to get on board.

Miss America in all her gorgeous glory below

So Sea Port had a Diwali festival and I was SOOOO excited. I looked forward to it all week.

I so badly wanted one of the dresses below but I didn't have $100 in cash (I was kicking myself). I am so in love with the colors/texture, everything! I promised myself next year I would own one!

Incredible dancing and fireworks

I wasn't able to buy a dress but I did get Henna tattoo for 5 bucks! My henna artist enhanced it with a bit of gold glitter.
